"A pub-fanciers pub, this rates 10 out of 10 on any checklist of Things That Make Pubs Worthwhile. It has a small yet atmospheric public bar designed for two things only: drinking beer and talking. It has two fireplaces, and uses them. It has a dartboard, and it isn't there for decoration. It also has a jukebox for your listening pleasure. The walls are covered with intriguing memorabilia and ancient beer posters. Out the back there's a small beer garden and a restaurant, which is much better than you'd expect from the pub's modest size and location. The sparkling facade and interior seems to have been polished every day since about 1920.
