Sometimes it's best to let others do the talking for you....here are some reviews/comments of The East Sydney Hotel over the years; "....Harald Muller and his wife Trish have been running the East Sydney pub for 25 years with little apparent concession to changing tastes. "I want to be the last country-style pub left in the Sydney metropolitan area" Muller says. " We've never spoilt the character of the bar and people come in here for a drink and a yarn." Brew visited on a wet Sunday afternoon and the front bar was full of drinkers buzzing with conversation. A couple of blokes were playing darts in one corner, there were fresh flowers on the bar and the whole place had a warm, neighborhood feel. Trish Muller says their weekday regulars can include public servants and office workers from the city, SBS staff and builders from nearby sites. And they've always supported independent breweries. "We were the first Sydney pub to put Cooper's Sparkling Ale on tap in 1986" says Muller.
